Classic Charlie Brown!

It's a bit rough but it's still wonderful. Rushed into production by a bunch of people who had never done anything like this before is truly amazing (according to the documentary short also on the disc). Also on the disc is a follow-up to the classic. Forget it. It's just taints the original.

After watching this adorable, animated, feature film (from 1965), yet again, it's so easy to see why it's rated as the second most popular and successful Christmas special, ever, next to Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, of course.

Created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" has the entire Peanuts Gang excitedly preparing themselves for the up-coming Holiday Season.

As our story opens we find that onion-headed, little boy named Charlie Brown in a very depressed state of mind all because of the way that Christmas has been so over-commercialized these days.

Even good, old Snoopy is getting into the act when he decides to decorate his doghouse, all glitter and glitz.

I guarantee you - "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (which is all voiced by children and contains no laugh-track) is one of the sweetest movies that you're ever gonna see, no matter what age that you might happen to be.

This animated film from 1965 is truly a timeless Christmas classic.

I have seen A Charlie Brown Christmas dozens of times since childhood. It never gets old. There's something quite special and heartwarming about this that just never ceases to put a smile on my face.

I know when I was younger this animated picture was something both kids and adults could enjoy. I hope that's still true now.

If you want to share a memorable show with your kids or just watch it on your own, you can't go wrong with this one. It's funny, sweet, smart, and has a wonderful message. I would certainly recommend it to everyone...... (Watch video-clip)

This is a wonderful film with a timeless message! Charlie Brown and the gang will be forever treasured by young and old alike. Charles Schulz did a spectacular job in coordinating great characters and a meaningful plot. Be sure to watch this movie with the kids this Christmas season!

Lucy Van Pelt: Say, by the way, can you play "Jingle Bells?"

[Schroeder proceeds to play "Jingle Bells", which sounds like a traditional grand piano]

Lucy Van Pelt: [interrupting] No, no. I mean "Jingle Bells." You know, deck them halls and all that stuff?

[Schroeder begins to play again, with the piano sounding like an organ]

Lucy Van Pelt: [interrupting again] No, no. You don't get it at all. I mean "Jingle Bells." You know, Santa Claus and ho-ho-ho, and mistletoe and presents to pretty girls.

[gazes lovingly at Schroeder, who then out of frustration taps one key of the piano while playing "Jingle Bells," which sounds like a child's toy piano]

Lucy Van Pelt: That's it!

[Schroeder turns a few unplanned flips from Lucy's reaction]

Charlie Brown: Isn't there anyone out there, that can tell me what Christmas is all about?
LInus: Sure Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about.
