The hour bu hour account of this true story was at times riveting and at times dragging. That said, the true genius of this book is in the last chapters where the quixotic nature of the American media culture is laid bare. How they can be so desperate for heroes while at the same time so vicious in tearing their heroes down is beyond me. A good read for sure.
