Renko is invincible- amazing number of attempts on his life!
The best one is when he's being garrotted with a rousing speech by Stalin playing in the background. That scene would be great in a movie.
Wonderful writing.

Good little page turner, well researched and with engaging characters. It suffers from the bane of its genre, i.e. too many implausible coincidences. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride!
