This book is truly an interestingly themed travel book.
The book is divided into three parts, Mediterranean, Continental Europe, British Isles. The last is the largest, containing the largest chapter about Ireland.
A good read for anyone wishing to read about excavated ruins, towns and villas close to these "magical and mystical" sites along with speculation of standing stones(such as Stonehenge and the Callanish stone), and bits of mythology scattered throughout.
