The Haunting Of Hill HouseBook - 2006
From Library Staff
I’m a big fan of the show on Netflix, but apparently the show didn’t follow the original book too closely. In the book, Dr. John Montague, an anthropologist and ghost hunter, invites three strangers to stay with him at Hill House to investigate the haunting. This is a classic haunted house tale.
The original version is quite a bit different from the Netflix series, but this classic horror tale stands up to the test of time.

Still considered one of the best haunted house stories to date. The novel deals with supernatural possession with an undertone of female sexuality.
