This video has me both appalled and amused. I am appalled that this was produced by a company in Pennsylvania. Are we not capable of presenting our historic sites ourselves? Should another country be making presentations of our history? No!
Now this is where it gets really interesting. When I looked up the company Schlessinger media, I found that it is a German company operating in Europe!
There are only five sites presented, at a length of 12 min. each.
Educational - hardly!
The one star rating is for the Head-Smashed-In segment. Quite moving.
The segment of the Haida people on Anthony Island (!) was truly bizarre! This was narrated in first person (while clearly depicting a First Nations man) by an older man with a strong British accent. Very strange.
Surely the Haida can speak for themselves.
