The god of final fate and the leader of the Dark-Hunters, Acheron Parthenopaeus, is used to being in charge...at least in this lifetime. He answers to no one and no one questions him. Yeah, right. Enter a woman on a forbidden quest to answer an ancient mystery, and she won't take no for an answer. Not even from Acheron himself. In spite of his impugning her reputation and foiling her attempts at every step of the way, she will not be denied.

this book is set in two eras: 10th millenium BCE and today. First half pure sadism with a bit of sisterly love; second half pure VERY hard core sex combined with a good love story. If you enjoyed the book (I did) without behing disturbed (I was) then you are a succesfull sadistic torturer- murderer or have the potential of being one. Most people have the potential fot great good or great evil (in my belief),without acting on either

Acheron's story is one of the most emotional, gut wrenching, heartbreaking books I have ever read. My emotions ran the gamut from despair to joy, I found myself fighting to not cry (a battle I didn't always win). At the same time this story is inspiring, up-lifting and completely amazing. I was left reeling hours after finishing the book.
Kudos to Mrs. Kenyon as I can't recall the last time I was so invested in a character as if they were a flesh and blood real person that I literally ached for.

I have really enjoyed this read..i have followed Sherrilyn Kenyons Dark Hunter series since her first book with Julian...i have continued to follow her for years now.I as well as her other fans waited on tenterhooks for Ashe to have his own story....Glad to see the wait ended...i bought the book shortly after it came out but happened to see the audiobook at the library so i settled in to discover it again...
I am not one to ruin things for others but i will say that your heart absolutely aches for everything this poor man went through...I found myself wiping tears many times throughout the book and even more so hearing it read to me...
Holter Graham the actor who reads this to you is excellent at what he does even when putting a voice to the female characters that Ashe meets along his journey...youcannot help loving his older sister Rissa and the woman Ashe eventually falls for...All i can say is well done to the reader and especially the author Ms.Kenyon...I am a fan for life and if you continue to write these i will continue to buy......

i recommend this book wholeheartedly if you are a paranormal lover...if you havent read any of the ones before it you can still read and understand this novel.......Nikki Stewart
