In Mexico, the frozen revolution, the director uses newsreel footage of Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata to connect the betrayal of the 1910 Mexican Revolution with the failure of revolution in his own time. He exposes the PRI, the party that governed Mexico for almost seventy years, as corrupt.
