Television mini-series that dramatizes four generations of Adamses and 150 years of American history from the birth of the Revolution through the Gilded Age. Meet John Adams, a passionate revolutionary and second president; John Quincy Adams, proud son of a famous father and sixth president; Charles Francis Adams, skillful minister to Great Britain during the Civil War; historian Henry Adams; and railroad magnate Charles Francis Adams, Jr. Going beyond politics, this mini-series portrays these men as husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, as well as leaders.

Interesting American history from a less familiar perspective. Acting is shallow and of course the staging/production suffers from age. It was originally broadcast in 1976 and was reformatted in 2008 so viewers should not be expecting modern technology.

Someone this critical should learn how to spell the word 'narrative'

made on the cheap on videotape, meandering, unfocused, no narritive drive.

This is a TV mini-series from the 1970's, back when people had more time to waste and were, perhaps, more patient than now. I think that anyone attempting to watch the whole thing runs the risk of falling into a catatonic state.
