I've been reluctant to comment because this book is a masterpiece beyond any form of praise or criticism. It's a tale of extraodinary journey. A young girl is frequently expelled from school due to her curiosity and her hyperactive behaviour. One day though, her mother managed to find her a special school, where students sit in bus classrooms, learn subjects on their own, enjoy frequent walks outside of school, and are encouraged to be independent, and discover everything in life. Behind this ingenious school is the principal, a wise educator well ahead of his time. And most extraodinary of all, this is a real tale from Japan, before WWII time.
