Everyday Sports Injuries is an excellent non-fiction book about most frequent sports injuries relative to athletes. Although the health benefits of participation in sports and exercise far outweigh the risks, sport injuries can occur in athletes of all ages and levels of experience and in many different activities. Each year 38 million youth participate in organized sports and 170 million adults participate in leisure time physical activities. Overuse and sudden traumatic injuries often lead to short and long term consequences for athletes. This book reinforces the proper training, warm up and equipment, with which many of these injuries can be prevented! As the title suggests it is a wide-ranging but well organized book about the most common related sports injuries that occur with athletes of today. It discusses topics such as growth and development of young athletes, maintaining good physical conditions and general treatment of athletic injury. It provides all the clear and concise information related to the most common injuries that athletes experience in range of sports. Everyday Sports Injuries is a book that has been needed for a long time. It is a great resource for parents and coaches, and is extremely beneficial to young athletes.
