Wish the film had focused on her work more than the melodrama of relationships. This was kind of a waste of a LOT of acting talent....

Enjoyed this. Joan Allen, who we know from the Bourne movies, is excellent. Jeremy Irons is also effective - we have little sympathy for him A good introduction to Miss O'Keeffe, as to her motivation and view of life. Agree, there could have been a little more on her paintings, but we do see enough of them to feel they are a part of the movie. Well worth the watch.

Understated if O'Keeffe was intended to be the hero. Her triumph was in channeling and redirecting her energies. She had courage and conviction.

Beautiful movie but did not really go indepth about why/hiw she chose her subject matter or composition. Woul have been better to add more about the art and less about the personal relationship (marriage).

not hollywood's version of a biography--really enjoyed the truths of how a woman's life was back then - she played a central role in bringing an art style to Europe when the majority of influence flowed in the opposite direction - a champion of women in art when so few were able to break through the glass ceiling - incredible feminine style of abstract that many copy today
