I've been reading this series for several months now and really enjoyed this book. It held together quite well, with flashbacks to the late 1850s when the family was involved in the Underground Railroad and to the "present" time. The family's retelling of what had happened had embellished the tale a bit, but Sylvia's ancestor's journal clearly explained what had happened. The author did a great job of weaving history into the family tale.
