I love all Christopher pike books because of there weirdness. I enjoyed reading this book and finished it quickly. The ending made me hope there would be a sequel, but we will see. Overall good read. I wish the library had more books by him.

Fifteen-year-old Sara is spending the summer with her father in Istanbul but he is busy at work and she is alone and bored until she meets Amesh, a really cute Turkish boy and until she finds a magic carpet. Together Sara and Amesh fly on the carpet to the mysterious island of the djinn and come face to face with the dangers of asking the djinn to grant wishes. Anyone who likes magic and fantasy will enjoy this book. Reviewed by BPL volunteer EE.
