A pretty good read. Not necessary to be familiar with the TV series on the History Channel but it does help. I have nothing but respect for the men and women who fly in supplies to the most remote regions of this country, risking their lives in planes that flew bomber missions during WWII - not to mention the ground crews who make sure the planes run on time.
If you are at all interested in Canada's North, flying, or old beautiful planes such as the DC-3 and Norseman - you must read this. The personality of Buffalo Joe McBryan is a little "stretched" in Vlessides' book. I was a passenger for more than a decade on Buffalo Air scheduled flights, and Joe is really a gentle and most helpful man, as well as a great pilot.
