This is my second time reading this book and will not be the last for sure.
It shows those small details which take you back to the everyday life of lumber industry during the rise of Michigan.
A must read for anyone who enjoys a good historical fiction.

I was drawn to this series by the Michigan setting. This is the first book in the series and was a simple but enjoyable story.
