I got this for the kids at my work and they loved it! Really funny when Mr. T-Rex comes for tea. Of course all sorts of issues arise. He is too big to fit through the door, and is too big for the chair etc. Really fun illustrations and fun to read out loud!

This book is a "how to host a tea party" story. Except, instead of the usual guest, the little boy and girl invite T-Rex. The girl does her best to set a good example, but the T-rex, being a dinosaur, does not follow the rules very well. In the end, the tea party was chaos, but "a lovely time was had by all" and the dinosaur returns the favor by sending his own invitation to the two children for tea.

The illustrations are colorful, beautiful and funny.

This is a different spin on the usual hosting a tea party story. One does not usually invite dinosaurs which makes this book more fun. I also liked having the little brother participate and have a good time.

Observing tea-time etiquette with a T-Rex as your guest creates some unusual difficulties for this pair of hosts, in what becomes a most amusing party.

Size is used very effectively, often showing the children in full, while the T-Rex expands beyond the page's confines. Composition plays a huge role in the book's visual humour, especially as this large beast participates in this dainty activity.

A rounded style, with soft warm colours perfectly portrays the sweet nature of both the tea party, and the characters, even the T-Rex's teeth are rounded. The style also reflects on the audience this book is aimed at, as most girls will prefer this more cuddly version to its ferocious counterpart.

Some guests cause much havoc, and this one brings about more than usual, even blowing furniture and the children away in some very funny scenes. Even so, he does observe the proprieties, and in the end creates a very memorable picture book.

The pictures are so adorable in this book! You really have to look at them to get the full effect and see the detail. I hope they create a sequel!

A T-Rex is invited to tea, when he arrives he cannot fit through the door. He is also too big for the chairs. Many other issues arise like tea in a hat and the T-rex trying to eat a stuffed bear. Many difficulties are had, however it is a fun tea party none the less. The children are then invited to a dinosaur tea party.
