This is a documentary about Hurricane Sandy---the megastorm that hit the east coast of the States, originally broadcast by PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) as a episode of Nova on Nov. 18, 2012.
The film gives scientific context to a new breed of storms---the so-called megastorms.
It is a scary yet informative documentary.

As is nearly always the case, PBS in general and NOVA in particular are superb in the documentary field. This one explores the various factors that combined to make Hurricane Sandy such a ferocious storm, getting commentary from experts, rescue personnel, and civilians who were all affected by the storm. The documentary combines extensive footage and behind the scenes access to give us a stronger sense of how it unfolded, while never losing touch of the human side of the story.
