Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich is a rollicking and poignant romantic comedy about a young widow who decides to get in shape...and winds up getting her groove back--and a whole lot more!

Holly Brennan used food to comfort herself through her husband's illness and death. Now she's alone at age thirty-two. And she weighs more than she ever has. When fate throws her in the path of Logan Montgomery, personal trainer to pro athletes, and he offers to train her, Holly concludes it must be a sign. Much as she dreads the thought of working out, Holly knows she needs to put on her big girl panties and see if she can sweat out some of her grief.

Soon, the easy intimacy and playful banter of their training sessions lead Logan and Holly to most intense and steamy workouts. But can Holly and Logan go the distance as a couple now that she's met her goals--and other men are noticing?

I was a little surprised at how saucy this book got, but I didn't mind it! ;) I finished this book in juts a couple days - really easy, quick beach read!

A feel good romantic story. A young woman, who is still recovering from the loss of her husband, meets a personal trainer, who helps her lose weight, and become more confident and happier.
cute and schmaltzy. Its a fun read, but not more than that.

The protagonist Holly has gone through difficulties in her life that caused her to let her self go. She finds inspiration when a personal trainer offers to help. I would say this book would make a good romantic comedy. However, Holly's thoughts and feelings were emphasized more often than her love interest in this book.

Read this book because of the summer reading program. I read a western last time and decided to do a chick-lit. I also let a coworker choose which book I read. I found this book better then I thought it would be. A good lesson given don't judge a book by it's cover no pun intended. A little disappointed with the ending

Language offensive in places. Picked this up thinking it was a Janet Evanovich novel. Would not read another by this author.

This is a good beach read, but don't expect too much.

Loved this book, couldn't put it down. Maybe it is because I could identify with the main character. Whatever the case may be I really enjoyed it. Easy read and fun!

I brought this book home from the library thinking I had somehow missed a Janet Evanovich book, only to realize its a Stephanie Evanovich book (never heard of her, but I guess Stephanie Plum was in my head....idk)...anyway, it was okay until around page 200 when the characters got very immature and started acting like teenagers...huge overreactions, no talking about their feelings. It ended the way I expected it to, but pretty much I can't stand them! lol

I like that she went back into the foray of romance novels. The sex scene if you want to call it that, was tastefully done and very tame. It was a light easy-going read.

If you're hoping that this author will be similar to her famous aunt Janet, you'll be sadly disappointed. This novel reads more like a Harlequin romance. The basic plot line is okay, but the characters are very one dimensional.

" So he was good-looking. Big deal. Good-looking she could handle. Anyone willing to take out a loan could achieve beauty. Tuck this, suck that, take a bit off here. Change colors on a whim. But character ? It had no price tag; no amount of money could buy it." - Holly's thoughts on outer and inner beauty and the fact Logan had both.
