i really love this book and if i could i would give 100 or more stars.
Wow I could not put this down. It took me a while to get into it and understand what was going on, but I like that. This book is completely unpredictable and went a different way then I expected it to go, which was awesome.
I love this book. It's a bit confusing at first but it's a lovely book. Very touching and well written. I really recommend reading it.
This book has an unusual narrative (2nd person!) and many sections are very brief (less than a page) so it's not easy reading but if you can get into it you will be rewarded by an intriguing story. The setting is pretty vague but my guess is Puritan times, ie 17th century.
At first, I really hated this book. It came very close to being a DNF. But I pushed through. By the time I was finished with it, I was very happy I finished it. It can be strange at times, with the 2nd person narrative, and the way it's written. But just read it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Set in the 1800s with colonial America. Girl who has tongue cut, dreams about her love. Story of her finding herself, thou damaged. And of her love which remains a central theme, should appeal to teenage girls. Some mystery and intrigue to find out who did what. Reminds me a little of The Scarlet Letter.
