The concept that people can both change, and don't change, are brought out in the CW's first season of the Arrow. We take an exciting look into Oliver Queen's protagonist of his own tragic story, where he turns from a billionaire playboy who has everything--into a deadly archer that is berated by those close to him for playing executioner while being a saviour of the city. This archer, nicknamed as the "Arrow", and known as a vigilante, goes on a mission to kill those deemed bad by his late father in a journal. Although that much of the story does not make much sense as to why Oliver feels he should go on a hunting spree for names on a list that were written by his father, his integration back into society after having been stranded on Lian Yu, an island far for home for 5 years, makes it a fun watch packed with epic fight action scenes that keep you on edge. Oliver, obviously changed after given more insight of him on Lian Yu in flashback scenes in each episode, struggles to change his way of brutally taking a human life, and that struggle is worth watching the Arrow for alongside the evil antagonist, Malcolm Merlin, who started this all. Rating 4/5.

The TV Show "Arrow" Directed by: Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim, networked by The CW Television Network is an American action/hero television series. Billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Portrayed by: Steven Amell) was stranded on an Island for five years and survived through hell. He came back and everyone was shocked that he survived as he was presumed dead for five years. He came back and changed his ways to save the city. He became a new Oliver Queen by becoming The Arrow. At first he is described a dangerous vigilante. Will he change that status or keep continuing in his dark ways? I rate this show 4/5 @flarrow_s of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

I think this could have been an exciting series except that it turned into a soap opera format (as so many of these series do).
Love relationships seem to be more important than the main theme of the story.
And stories about rich spoiled kids having tantrums, do nothing for me.

The beginning alternates between Oliver’s memories and him confronting those on the list in present time. Hence, the whole story feels formulaic, with little room for character development. Things fortunately change by the second half of the season and the series is much improved as a result.

Most billionaires though extremely financially independent to the public, heavily rely on relationships like family. It is highly unlikely that a father of one would have had a list of wrongs.
