Love the page where Hamilton falls into the ship's galley, "where a striped bass stood calmly at a stove, humming sea shanties and cooking pancakes." The striped bass was my favorite part, actually.

The story would be LOVED by a young boy (definitely written by a boy-at-heart for a boy) and given 4 or 5 stars. Grandma was enveloped by the total-page color of the illustrations. I think all parents can appreciate the story of getting the offspring to stay in bed through the night. I rate this book as a big WIN for both child and adult.

What imagination! Original characters, story, even new fun-to-say words. Amazing, full-page illustrations on each page, complete this gem of a book. Outstanding!
