Despite musicological concerns (i.e. while one may wonder whether any of the music featured in this film was composed in 1717 or before, musicology suggests otherwise, quite firmly; for instance, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring was composed during his first year in Leipzig, which is much later on in time frame) and my own pet-peeves about certain mannerisms (being a professional classical musician myself and preferring comportment-styles rooted in aesthetic gravitas and artistic dignity), this is wholly worthy, as it inspires courage and passion, as well as an interest in classical music. Now, while none of the featured music is performed in accordance to the so-called period performance practice, they are very well done, with warm-toned sympathy and winsome stylishness.
