Tried once again to watch this, but it is too frantic for too long, every.body talking and shouting, hard to fathom what's going on. Maybe there is a quieter story somewhere in there.

I am a big fan of Sorkin and he did not disappoint. Well worth the time to watch.

I thought the first season was outstanding, but found the second season fell a little flat.

Hard to believe, but this season was maybe even better than last season, though the running is close. It's everything you expect from Sorkin, including some recycled beats from West Wing ( Aaron...like no one was looking....?). The ending is a little bit of 'bonk on the head' but I still like it. I'd say 'hurry out and get it' but the wait is, like, 8 weeks, maybe longer. No surprise, there.

Might be the worst second season of a show ever. I gave Season 1, five stars. Basically about Obama's killing of innocent civilians as collateral damage in drone attacks, an unbelievable story comes that would crush Obama if true. It's HBO so you can guess how they treat the Democrat. In the end, McAvoy pisses on all Republicans even though he is supposed to be one. This was just a nine episode commercial for the midterms. Didn't help though

Excellent show with great writing and producing by Aaron Sorkin. The season-long story premise of a chemical warfare attack by U.S. Marine forces is far-fetched, and doesn't add as much tension as creators probably originally thought,. I preferred the side stories involving lesser characters, though interaction between stars, Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimer are priceless and could only end one way.

Edgy script, well acted and fast moving recaps on events preceding the 2012 general election.

Brilliant writing, great acting. Unfortunately we now go into the final season for it has been cancelled by HBO. Special notice for supporting cast including Jane Fonda and Constance Zimmer.

Will on being a republican, 1of2:

No, I call myself a republican 'cause I am one. I believe in market solutions and I believe in common sense realities and the necessity to defend ourselves against a dangerous world and that's about it. Problem is now I have to be homophobic. I have to count the number of times people go to church. I have to deny facts and think scientific research is a long con. I have to think poor people are getting a sweet ride. And I have to have such a stunning inferiority complex that I fear education and intellect in the 21st century.

Will on Being a republican, 2of2:

But most of all, the biggest new requirement, really the only requirement, is that I have to hate Democrats. And I have to hate Chris Christie for not spitting on the President when he got off Air Force One. The two-party system is crucial to the whole operation. There's honor in being the loyal opposition. And I'm a Republican for the same reasons you are. So I hope your voice gets louder in the next four years.
