Brown rice syrup is sugar. I'm shocked that this book was published. Using brown rice syrup is no better than using white refined sugar. Total mis-information.

Great pictures and info on why you shouldn't eat sugar. She gives tips about easing off sugar, but I wouldn't say it's a structured plan. Also the recipes are too vague and hard to reproduce (for example measurements like "a hand full"). If you don't like the taste of stevia, this isn't for you. She uses it in most recipes.

I don't think lilypad gave this a fair try. If you have a Thyroid problem this is one of ther best ways to loose some of the weight on your tummy and face.

This author substituted rice syrup for sugar in her recipes. How is that healthier? She does not give information on calories, fiber, protein, etc on her recipes. Seems like uninformed opinion at best, waste of money at the worst. Karen G.
