This book is a good read if you enjoy fashion and the New York scene. This line from Donna Karan's memoir summed up her brilliant, yet practical, design aesthetic: "To me, inspiration is the inhale: you breathe in the beauty, the richness, the culture. And the clothes are the exhale: the real-life translation into pieces you can wear to work or walking down city streets."
