Technology and the human element does not always mix. Reminds me of some of the earlier Stephen King.

This is a bookshot or a short novel...something you can read in a day. Taking off of Zoo where animals take over the planet, this surmises that actually feral humans would be scarier. And while they are, Patterson never addresses the how or why we become feral. And he leaves it open for bugs/critters to be next.

I have read two of the bookshots stories. While I liked the stories, it feels like the stories are a few chapters out of a book instead of a complete novel.
