I so appreciated the frankness with which this documentary was filmed. No sugar coating of the reality of such a devastating disease and the impact it has on family.

The video journal of Steve Gleason who was diagnosed with ALS. This is an honest portrayal of the journey a person diagnosed with this disease takes. ALS is a fatal motor neurone disease. Patients diagnosed with ALS are typically given a 2 - 5 year life expectancy but many live much longer. Stephen Hawking has had ALS for more than 50 years. Watch the DVD 'The Theory of Everything'. I recommend this movie in order for people to become more aware of the devastation of this disease. Not everyone is as fortunate as Steve Gleason who has lots of financial and personal support during his illness. He therefor has the latest technology to communicate and personal help, not all people with ALS get this type of support.
