The script was just dreadful. After the nth time Mandy Moore whimper or screech or hyperventilate, I started to root for the shark.
It held my attendtion I was entertain.
Completely lame and absolutely predictable to the last shot. I gave it a star only because the CGI sharks were a cut above SyFy channel.
This was scary enough, also predictable. "Matthew Modine has certainly aged" I thought until I took a glimpse in the mirror. This was also the most misogynistic piece of movie making I've seen in quite a while. Just saying.
I would be the first one to say that I am a sucker for creature flicks. This is especially true when it comes to sharks. "Jaws" is one of my favorite movies, and I also greatly enjoyed 2016s "The Shallows." It should not be surprising then that I also found "47 Meters Down" to be a thoroughly enjoyable watch. The characters were shallow (no pun intended), the story was nothing new, but as a whole, the movie was a better than average thriller. If you are simply looking to be entertained, or like me, love a good shark film, give this movie a chance.
OK ladies, get ready to do a lot of screaming and telling the girls what to do and not to do.
This movie is spell binding! You won't want to miss any of it.
Usual hollywood ending.
This movie has some suspense to it but its just another movie just to make a quick buck from the millennials. All hail to the great shark movie of all time- Jaws! They don't make them like that anymore!
I thought this was dumb and just an excuse to look at girls in swimsuits. Thank goodness they had on SCUBA gear so their screams were muffled. My husband who SCUBA dives, liked it and found it tense and exciting. I guess it is all in the perspective.
I like Shallows better than 47 Meters Down, at least it is more exciting and entertaining, but it is okay for the second half of 47 Meters Down.
