When you read this book, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement -- a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ebook ARC of The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen.

You will make many assumptions when reading this book.
You will assume you are reading a book about a jealous wife, and her obsession with her replacement.
You will assume you are reading a book about a woman about to enter a new marriage with a man that she loves.
You will assume the first wife was a disaster and that the husband was well rid of her.
You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships.
Assume nothing.

I give this book a rating of 5 stars. It had me guessing the whole way through. The book was very slow in the beginning. But I had heard many good things about this book, so I kept reading. It started to get good at about 40% of the way through. It was very suspenseful and had many twists and turns. I recommend reading it.

Very very good beginning, good twist. But then it falters a little with the ending.

I like a story that grabs you right away and keeps my interest. I couldn't put this book down! Filled with twists and turns, it kept me guessing until the very end. If you enjoy a good psychological thriller, don't miss this title.

Sucked me right in and kept me intrigued in wrapping my brain around the twists. However I was a bit disappointed in how it devolved into the same old story (and I won't reveal what story that is because you should still read it!).

Quick read... recommend if you liked Gone Girl or Girl on the Train!

Interesting read. Two of the main stories are repeats. Don’t know if they are repeats of her other books or somewhere else.

This was an ok, entertaining book. By no means did it keep me riveted. There also seems to be something fundamentally off with the writing style. It just didn't flow like it should.

I love women's psychological fiction, but too often the plot is obvious. This book is great and kept me guessing until the end. Complex plot, sympathetic characters, couldn't put it down.

This was a really good read. It was well written and had great character development and a good storyline.
The only negative I would share about this book is it gets a little confusing with all the twists. Gradually introducing one twist is okay, but when you get 2 or 3 additional twists throughout, it’s sort of hard to re-program your thinking. I mean this especially considering the setting is New York City. It’s hard to believe some of the coincidences that occur in a city that size.
It is well worth engaging the time.

The twists in this book left me breathless. Just when I thought I had reached the last, I discovered I was wrong.
