The assassination of the U.S. Speaker of the House has shaken the nation. And the Camel Club has found a chilling connection with another death: the body of the director of the Library of Congress's rare books room has been found in a locked vault. The Camel Club's unofficial leader, a man who calls himself Oliver Stone, discovers that someone is selling America to its enemies one classified secret at a time. Then Annabelle Conroy, the greatest con artist of her generation, struts her way into the club and gives it a sexy new edge-one it needs. Because the two murders are hurtling the Camel Club into a world of espionage that can bring America to its knees.

Plenty of suspense, twists and turns. Thoroughly enjoyed this book - particularly Annabelle's role in it. Have reserved "Stone Cold" in order to follow her deadly involvement with Jerry Bagger.

Very disappointing and with choppy writing. The heroes seem to arrive at their conclusions out of thin air. Not a very good read

My first Baldacci book. It took a few chapters to hold my attention. But then I was hooked. I love the Camel Club. Could not wait to read about their next adventure.

I'm not a big fan of this series. I much prefer the King and Maxwell books.

Continuous tension as the plot thickens, many twists and turns in the story, a great read from the first page. You want to keep turning the page to find out what happens next. I was disapointed that the storry of Annebelle Conroy did not pan out, she is to me the main character, I guess the author would like to maintain the intruige from the last page of 'The Collectors" to the next book, which I assume is "Stone Cold". I LIKED!

"There are some dead people whose company I would prefer over that of certain of my living acquaintances," Stone replied tersely.
