If you like lots of plot, despite plausibility, this is a good fast read for vacation. The super-soldier verges on science-fiction literature and certainly provokes some moral questions about creating such creatures.

Wow. What a badly written book! I can't help but think the original manuscript was done in all caps with each sentence ended in from one to seven exclamation points -- the editors apparently left the rest as is, though. All the sophistication and moderating of pace of a He-Man cartoon.

So many plot holes that the plot was hard to even see. Dialog that sounded like a 12 year old's imagination.

No awareness of implausibility (my favorite -- the bad guy checks out 4 scenes where he'd dumped bodies, for the first time -- after 30 years. The good guy happens to check those same spots for the first time, in the same order(!), on the same night, and in about the same 20 minute period.... I had to calculate and come up with roughly 1.9 Million to one odds against that amazing coincidence).

Any characters that have any personality all have essentially the same personality.... each move they make is something they have "no choice" about. They even all talk the same way with similar odd expressions.

How this guy is a best seller with over 30 books completely escapes me. Unless he had someone write a computer program to churn out this trash. I had to finish the book just for the wonderment of how badly written it really was - a classic in that way.

Baldacci took us on the usual road with all the twists, bumps and detours. It is an easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it but it didn't seem to have the suspense as previous Puller stories.

Ummm, I read the whole book, but was disappointed. The beginning was slow. The plot somewhat easy to figure out. Some inconsistencies in the story line. Not his best.

The plot was garbage. I am pretty sure an 8th grade boy came up with it.

What can I say. David Baldacci never disappoints. This was another fabulous book. I highly recommend reading this book.

Another good Baldacci novel. Even the bad guy was likable.

Another outstanding Baldacci book. Keeps your attention until the very end. Great read!

You will root for the bad guy since the government techies are so unlikeable. Baldacci has never been in the military or he would know no service would ever go after a hero general for any reason, especially one retired with dementia..

Another hit for David Baldacci.
