If anyone can pull off a fantastic movie without a physical villain, it's Studio Ghibli. Trivia: Kiki's Delivery Service came out in 1989, nearly a decade before Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Light and fun.

Entertaining Miyazaki animated feature, but not with the complex story line of Grave of the Fireflies, Spirited Away, or Princess Kaguya. The bonus feature showing the two locations in Sweden that were inspirations for the setting was very interesting.

A great earlier Miyazaki movie about a cheerful young witch embarking on an important witchy milestone and persevering through adversity. Watch the movie in Japanese with English subtitles if you can! The English dub is ok, but the acting and story are better in Japanese! (yes, the story is changed a bit in English)

Veteran animator Hayao Miyazaki directs this buoyant children's adventure yarn about a young witch striking out on her own. At her mother's behest, 13-year-old Kiki sets out on a year-long apprenticeship with her black cat in tow. As all young witches must do at the age of 13. Unfortunately, the local hotels have a strict no witches policy and the police have taken a dim view of her recent aerial mischief making. She's saved from the street by a kindly baker's wife who offers her room and board in exchange for her delivering by broom the baker's wares. Soon she befriends a college-aged artist, an old women who fusses over her, and a boy her same age who is nursing a massive crush. It’s an another cute animated movie from Miyazaki with great visual effects and an excellent sound track.

My third Miyazaki film. Not as beautiful, entertaining, or amazing as ...Totoro or ...Arriety, but certainly above par. The kids loved it

I love anime but to be honest, I didnt dig this film. Kinda bizarre.

I frankly don't see what's appealing about this movie. It's cute I suppose, but by the end of the movie she's lost powers and hasn't gained any. All she can do is fly and it didn't really lead up to anything? Like there wasn't a point where it was like she had some special quest, the climax I guess is when she saves a boy but even that was sudden and didn't feel very rewarding? Overall I'd call it disappointing as a fan of ghibli and suggest you use your time on a better movie.

This is a delightful film for all ages. The dubbing in English was excellent, I didn't see much in the way of mouths moving differently from voices speaking. I enjoyed seeing a character identified as a witch being accepted by the people around her, like it was no big deal she was a witch. Wish that was really true.

Studio Ghibli's movies are wonderful, moral, fun, and inspiring! Remember this is the Japanese version, but in English, so some details will be different. This came originally from Japan so for those who stick to the originals this is it. Have fun!
