Set in 2005 in New York City, LITTLE CLAN is a colourful, boisterous DEBUT romp through a literary world bathed in ambition and hubris. Ava Gallanter is the librarian in residence at The Lazarus Club, an ancient, dissolving Manhattan arts club full of eccentric geriatric residents stuck in a long-gone era. Twenty-five-year-old Ava, however, feels right home. When Ava's enigmatic former college roommate returns after an unplanned year abroad, the intoxicating opportunist, Stephanie, vows to rescue her best friend from a life of obscurity. After learning of Ava's setup at the club, Stephanie, ever the entrepreneur, sees her next opportunity. She promises to make Ava's dream come true and start a literary salon.
