Imagine you meet a man, spend six glorious days together, and fall in love. And it's mutual: you've never been so certain of anything. So when he leaves for a long-booked holiday and promises to call from the airport, you have no cause to doubt him. But he doesn't call. Your friends tell you to forget him, but you know they're wrong: something must have happened; there must be a reason for his silence. What do you do when you finally discover you're right? That there is a reason -- and that reason is the one thing you didn't share with each other? The truth.

I loved this book, I agree with other reviewers, that the author made you feel for these characters. Quick, easy read.

I didn't love it but I also didn't hate it. Some silly scenarios wrapping the whole thing together at the end but I knew it would be like that from the beginning so I wasn't mad about it.

Another book that I don't remember how it made its way onto my reading list (it was either recommended by a friend, found on a "must-read" list or maybe it just had a long wait line at the library so I assumed it was good), but another winner! I don't want this to sound like I am tooting my own horn, but I can often figure out the plot of story pretty quickly (whether it be a TV show, book or movie). Maybe it's that I watch too many Law & Orders or read too many books and the story lines just seem to repeat themselves, but, I've gotta say, this one had me guessing the entire time. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, everything got flipped turned upside down! It did take me a few chapters to really get into the story, but once I was hooked, I WAS HOOKED! It was definitely a page turner (with a HUGE plot twist I did NOT see coming) and one I wish had kept going and going! I would give it a 9 out of 10.

the only reason I read this book is because of the glowing blurb on the front cover from liane moriarty, whose books I enjoy immensely.
made it to the end, but it was like... being really really hungry and all you have to eat in the house is margarine and some stale hot dog buns.

Intriguing and sometimes heartwarming, but I really just couldn't buy everyone blaming a young girl for what was obviously not even her fault for

The story is of love lost and love found. There is a lot of obsession and forgiveness also. The author was able to make me feel for the characters, even Reuben. Did that new lady he was dating really love him or his position in his field of work because of her past loss? There are many relationships to observe. It easily holds the interest.

This is a great summer read for the beach! What would you do if the person you had spent 7 amazing days with, said he was going to call and didn't? Part mystery, part love story there is twist after twist in this book and I enjoyed it in one sitting.

What a story! Mysteries and thrillers are normally my favorite genres. However, this love story completely captivated me. This is not a formulaic romance. It is about Sarah who unexpectedly meets Eddie. They spend seven days together in the British countryside and promise each other to reconnect after Eddie's pre-arranged holiday. The rest you must read for yourself. It is an emotional roller-coaster: you will never know what comes next. The book is unpredictable and mysterious. The only problem is that the book is not long enough. I would have gladly spent more time with Sarah and Eddie. It is hoped that more is to come from Rosie Walsh.
