This is a well-written book about loss. I read it at work and had to take a moment in the back to compose myself because I couldn't stop crying, first because of sadness and then because of hope. It's a great book.

A tender story of a fox who's pet dog dies. Simply portrays the process of grieving, giving time to the loss, and then slowly being able to move on again.

Perfect for this time of year, not apparent from the cover, but there is a bit of a pumpkin theme. Incredible illustrations, and a very touching story. Loved it!

I loved this book, absolutely beautiful illustrations from acrylics, oils and colored pencils. It shows readers that sometimes sad things do happen and there is a process to that. Love, loss, grief, recovery and then the new beginnings.

I dare you to try to read this without crying!

As someone with an elderly dog, this just gutted me. But it is wonderful.

Such a beautiful story that acknowledges sometimes we are sad and it is hard and dark, but eventually an opportunity will come along that allows us to choose to move through that and into new seasons and new opportunities.
