"The powerful, utterly addictive Australian saga returns with new challenges for resolute nurse Sarah Nordmann (Marta Dusseldorp, Jack Irish) and the aristocratic Bligh family. Torn between her traumatized husband, Rene (Benjamin Winspear, The Babadook), and dashing ex-fiancé, George Bligh (Brett Climo, Snowy River: The McGregor Saga), Sarah must make a heartrending decision. Meanwhile, the Blighs face their own obstacles: the marriage between young lovers Anna (Abby Earl, The Great Mint Swindle) and Gino (Aldo Mignone, Danger 5) is off to a rocky start; new mother Olivia (Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood, Underbelly) tries to keep a devastating secret from her husband, James (David Berry, Home and Away); matriarch Elizabeth (Noni Hazlehurst, Little Fish) contemplates life away from Ash Park; and the villainous Regina (Jenni Baird, The 4400) will do anything to get what she want -- even if it means tearing the family apart. Set in the 1950s, this “captivatingly filmed, deeply romantic drama” (The Wall Street Journal) deals with weighty themes such as anti-Semitism, sexuality, and social class with intelligence and intrigue."--Container.

Rated 8/10. Generally, still enjoying this series, but the "Regina storyline" is getting a bit over-the-top. Time to explore other angles, or at least make Regina not so two dimensional.

Too much soap operatic storytelling...wife and in-law liked it more than I.

I agree with the comments below about this devolving into the worst of day time soap operas. I was about to ditch the whole series because I was sick of the melodrama, but then read comments about Season 4 being more like Seasons 1 & 2. The first two seasons were borderline soap opera-ish but still enjoyable enough to keep me watching. I may torture myself and finally finish watching the last few episodes of Season 3 so that I can give Season 4 a try.

Has turned into an all out daytime Soap opera with little more than dramatic dialogue and none of the scenery and action of the previous two series. No longer recommend this for further viewing unless you are a daytime soap fan.

I loved Seasons 1-2 and they should have left it like it ended. I did not enjoy Season 3 - it was very predictable and the plot lines were not very happy - pretty sad and depressing sometimes. I hope that the last Season 4 is better - they should have let it die when was originally planned.

Really like this series. It is full of twists and turns.

Four star, spectacular series. I absolutely love this story. I am very glad season 4 is planned for September 2016.

Looking forward to Series Four, but since that is just being made, I expect I will have a good wait.

I'm so relieved to hear there is a Season 4 because Season 3 ended terribly. Everything was left up in the air, not knowing what happened to anyone, and everything was left in a terrible situation for everyone. I thought that was it and that the whole series ended on that terrible note. What an awful ending. It was better off when they had the ending in Season 2 (before they decided to add Season 3). I hope we get Season 4 soon! Or I am really really dissatisfied!

They should have been satisfied with ending this series after Season 2.
