The Republican party has been nothing but liars and con men since Nixon. The GOP only cares about making the rich richer. They are willing to destroy our environment, kill our soldiers in worthless and endless wars, and make the middle class and poor work multiple jobs just to scrape by - all for money. Unregulated Capitalism is just as bad as Communism but they do not teach that in schools.

This film bothers me. Yes, Cheney was probably the most powerful and influential VP in recent American history but all of the credible books I have read on Bush's presidency deny the rumour that Cheney was a "puppet master." Cheney is not an endearing guy and his paranoia about the next big terrorist attack to hit the USA gave him the resolve to do some questionable things: the war in Iraq and the surveillance of citizens' private communications being the best known.
Normally I can enjoy a film, even when not accurate, if the acting is good and the film overall is entertaining. However, the propaganda and fudging of the truth in this film just annoyed me too much. In my view, films are more dangerous than books. Movies require far less investment of time and brain activity to consume than do books. Not to mention that images tend to remain in the mind far longer than anything we read. I worry that people will watch this film and assume that it is accurate.
Garbage film.

This is more of a documentary about Dick Cheney and how he kissed up to the powerful politicians until he became powerful himself. According to this true event documentary, Dick was actually the puppet master and Bush was just the puppet. The true reason why the USA invaded Iraq was strictly for the oil. it was also Dick Cheney who changed global warming into climate change so they could snow the public as climate change does not have the same emphasis as global warming. Buzz words that politicians use to manipulate the public for control. During Cheney's political career he became very wealthy as the American people became poorer which all you have to do is look at the USA debt clock. He was also responsible for basically legalizing torture which was against the Geneva Convention. Cheney and his hoodlums would spend time together trying to figure ways to twist the written word to fit their cause. They even went as far to intercept emails and messages sent to the different departments in which the censured it so as not to have any friction or anyone against them while bush was in power. Apparently all these emails and messages have been lost forever. The documentary Vice really shows what can happen when a self serving individual happens to get into power.

" (CNN) -- Former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage acknowledged Thursday that he was the source who first revealed the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame to syndicated columnist Robert Novak back in 2003, touching off a federal investigation."

The above tells enough about any "accuracy" in the film. There are some interesting moments and gives insights on how liberals view history (through a lens of hate). Not as a funny as a SNL skit and about as factual. If you are a leftist you will probably enjoy it as it plays to your world view.

Well written, well acted, but whether you like the story is another question.

Did not like all the tricks and devices the filmmaker used to tell the story. Found it distracting and annoying. Seemed like some earnest film school student's kitchen-sink project.

I gave this five stars because so much garbage and lies the US government has done. The US government has so much blood on their hands they could give the world blood. The lies of 9/11 of is a crime and so many deaths for nothing because of these evil and war mongers in the WH. I never believe what was ever said to the American people just to justify their bullshit and what does the US do best destroy a Country and death is what our government does and will continue to do. What bunch of evil assholes we vote for and let them do to the people of the US and the world. There is no evil threat to the USA only what they government creates.

No wonder Christian Bale said he thanked satan for his award, you would only thank satan because evil is ruling. Now we have Trump and people who are his loyal supporters who think white America is dying are so much of denial and hatred, our history is not so kind to the real Americans they Native Americans they were not white.

Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney should have a special place in hell to their real head boss. I know people know the truth because you can't fool everyone in the us. The real biggest threat is Israel to the world and US but only a few can see this totally.

Fascinating and all the actors did a fantastic job of mimicking real people. Spot on.

Excellent. Christian Bales transformation to Dick Chaney was amazing. An Academy Award winner I hope. Extras very interesting , especially the long hours of make up. Chaney has been the most powerful and involved Vice President ever.

***SPOILER ALERT*** For references after the film

The one minute long spoof during the long end credit on the movie review focus group:

Man1: Something's been bothering me this whole movie and I just figured it out. The whole thing's liberal. It's got a liberal bias.
Moderator: Interesting. Does anyone else feel that way? ... One, two, three, four people. Yeah, go ahead.
Man2: It's all facts. Right I mean, they had to vet all this with a lawyer. How does that make it... What's liberal about that?
Man1: You would say that, lib-tard.
Man2: Okay, I'm sorry. So, because I have the ability to understand facts, that makes me a liberal?
Moderator: Okay, guys, let's just take it down.
Man1: You probably like Hillary.
Moderator: Let's take it down a notch or two, okay?
Man2: Idiot. Okay, first of all, Hillary's not president. Okay? The-the-the orange Cheeto that you hired is the president and he's ruining the country...
Man1: Trump is the best thing in this country.

***SPOILER ALERT*** *For references after the film

The end justifies the mean?
I can feel your recriminations... and your judgment... and I am fine with it. You want to be loved, go be a movie star. The world is as you find it. You gotta deal with that reality. And there are monsters in this world. We saw 3,000 innocent people burned to death by those monsters. And yet you object... when I refuse to kiss those monsters on the cheek and say "pretty please." You answer me this. What terrorist attack would you have let go forward so you wouldn't seem like a mean and nasty fella? I will not apologize... for keeping your family safe. And I will not apologize... for doing what needed to be done... so that your loved ones can sleep peaceably at night. Has been my honor... to be your servant. You chose me... and I did what you asked.

Surprised that Rumsfeld's "Known-Knowns-unknown" speech was not mentioned at all. One may disagree with his politics and motives but being a doofus as portrayed in the film, he is not:

‘There are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we do not know we don't know.’
