For Troy, Gabriella, Chad, and Taylor, summer vacation is no day at the beach. Thanks to Troy, they are all working at a country club founded by Ryan and Sharpay's family. The club's annual talent show is right around the corner and Sharpay's competitive instincts are sizzling. She dumps Ryan as her singing partner and starts wooing Troy to join her onstage instead. Gabriella is not very happy that Tony agreed to sing with Sharpay, instead of her. Things heat up on the laws of high society. Now Troy has to decide between receiving a potential scholarship and making things right with Gabriella and his friends.

This movie is awesome. Kenny Ortega is a good directer.

High School Musical 2 is the best out of High School Musical one, two, and three. This was my favourite of all three because it was hilarious, exciting, and serious at the same time. Zac Efron, as Troy, becomes anxious to start his new job. Along the way, the workplace ends up giving a job to every one of his friends. The High School Musical gang gets to enjoy the summer days together, and make some extra cash doing it! I would recommend this movie if you are a fan of musicals. These movies are some of the best movie-musicals out there, and definitely my favourites. Overall, High School Musical 2 was a satisfying and great movie to watch, and it's perfect for families. I would rate this movie a 5/5.

The least favorite of ALL the High School Musical movies, in my opinion, but it was OK.

I love High School Musical. I have seen all of the DVDs from your library. Well, I only borrowed the first and third movies. I had the second one. I still have it. i really like the second one and how they dance at the beach. I really like the song "Gotta Go My Own Way" and Nicki Yanofsky sings that song. I am a really good singer. I have seen this movie since I was in high school. First, I watched it at school with my class when I was in grade 9. Yes, this was in high school. Then, I watched it at my friends' house. Then, i got the movie and I watched all three movies on Family on TV. I love High School Musical, but i do think the first one and the second one are good. The third one may be a little inappropriate, like when Sharpay and Ryan dance and she wears a bathing suit. Yes, 1 and 2 better.

Sad to say it's not as good as the original movie. The music is good, but once they stop singing, the storyline goes nowhere.

Few musical movies are equal or better than this movie.

This is a high school musical that is not even happening in the school. I found this one insanely boring. The songs weren't as good either. And when Zac Efron sang "Bet on It"..it was really weird. He was randomly dancing on the golf field. ugh..
