Small town life is frequently romanticized in romance, but Well Played shows the flipside in Stacey, who got stuck in the town she grew up in, in a rut. Her angst reminded me a lot of my mid-20s. The online flirtation between the two leads was fun, even though that took a lot of the on-page time away from the renaissance festival setting that made me fall in love with DeLuca's writing.
